I got a new toy today. My power supply has officially ran out of scokets... Have to daisy chain if i get more   I just need to get a power compressor, and my board will be complete... ;D |

I see you're using the Tri-Ac... If you don't mind.. perharps you can post on the forum some of the common settings you use...

Yo, nice setup.. I see you're using the Tri-Ac... If you don't mind.. perharps you can post on the forum some of the common settings you use... i only use the CALIF setting these days. Sure i can post the settings here. (My pedalboard is in the boot at the moment, later tonight maybe =)) But, my sound is a combination of a few other pedals...TRI-AC, by itself, is a bit rough, IMO... |

let me guess.. is it the FL9?.. ;D Yeah man. Its killer i tell you. I A/B'ed it with a BOSS flanger, the difference is so apparent, even my drummer can tell... ;D |

hehe, hey Y, getting closer to the jones eh ;D How much for the flanger? On the tone of lunarin, i was really quite impressed with the distorted guitar sound that i heard from the few tracks on net. I was thinking that it was those POD type thingy till i saw that it was the tri ac. Haha, pardon my ignorance  and i do like my gt-2 |

Haha, pardon my ignorance and i do like my gt-2 Cost me a bomb, dude...Paid 200+ for it...But i guess its worth the money...it has a very smooth, organic feel to it...and, yeah, you can get pretty close to Mr. Jones sound with this, especially for all his solos... The tracks on our site was recorded live...its basically my pedalboard through a Marshall Slash Signature series head. But, ppl have be saying that the TRI-AC and other sansamp products really shine if you run it through the Effects Return input, bypassing the amp circuitry...Better if the sepakers are full-ranged speakers...kinda like PA system type and not celestion....Gonna try it later... My old band used the POD for the last EP. What can i say? The tone sucks and SansAmp stuff are light years ahead of POD...That said, I heard pretty good stuff about the POD XT too... Speaking of GT-2, i recently bought a TECH21 Trademark10 amp whch has an onboard GT-2 circuit...Its pretty cool. I like the speaker simulations...especially the UK one...but, IMHO, the GT-2 has an inherent "metal" feel to it...everything i play started sounding like metallica or pantera...hehe...the TRI-AC has a more organic feel...even then...i use slight chorus to round up the tone a bit more.... |

i like the way you put it, bout the gt-2 sounding like metallica/pantera after a while ;D
I used to have the tri ac, but sold it off as i felt the gt-2 serve my needs better. Shud have kept it around.
Hehe, new toy make us happy, i love to check out the FL-9 one of these days. We shud meet up soon in the roomful of treasures down at clementi and have a gear orgy there ;D
