1) Learn all the special tricks, technique, style of your favourite musician, get famous and well known for being a "fill in the blank" wannabe, without your own style, own dressing sense and tone

2) Play what you really want, sound like the few unknown famous dude with your own special tricks add in, get nowhere doing music, as a part time thingy and only a handful of people knowing you
