28 days later was a film with some deep meaning, its wasnt just ur typical zombie flick.... and has to be said the film was shot very well... and yes the gybe part was fantastic yes, its not your typical zombie flick, but i didn't like the cliche post-apocalyptic setting, the "bomb shelter" concept (very overused, in my opinion, and is a common scenario in many cartoons) the gybe part, was shot brilliantly- the rustling plastic bags, abandoned trolleys, derelict buildings before a grey sky. very little camera movement, if i remember well enough, perhaps the idea of still, postcard-like images serve to accentuate the awe of such a sublime setting. perfect for a gybe song ahah ;D i also didn't like the way the movie ended. ok i'm not a fan of these kind of endings, i must admit, because it feels rushed, forced, and its like a cheating way out haha actually i am not a fan of horror/action kind of movies. i am also a biased bastard haha.... but what do you think of that scene in Lost in Translation- the one after the karaoke session, where Bill Murray and Scarlett Johannsenn were in the taxi, with "Sometimes" by MBV playing in the background? i like that scene "Its so emo, it hurts" - Daniel ;D ;D

dan... u and I have so much in common! we should talk shop! ;D I mean really!
anyway.. yeah, i have certain CDs in my collection... they reflect a time in my life... for example, Paul Simon's Graceland reflects the time when i had my first crush...
Sting's Ten Summoners' Tales were a reminder of how I loved to read and that i would stick in my room all day playing this CD and reading... and reading.. and coming up witth theories why we must suffer...
another CD is Jazz Is Dead's Blue Light Train. It reminds me of the stressful final year I had in the U. And how my friends stood by and supported me, helping me out till the end. It also reminded how a chee-bair got hooked with my sister and snitched on me...
yes, everytime i put on the CD, I get these feelings and emotions flooding back like Noah's great flood...
also certain songs just perk me up all the time... Jimi Hendrix's All Along The Watchtower... song that gets me aggro and testosterone is Ozzy's Crazy Train...
wow... the power of music!
..like the power of love... sings Celine Dion.. HAHAHAH
cheers, airhole

ii think the the scenes where both of the main characters couldn't sleep ... and the part where the guy had to leave and they said their goodbyes at the crowded pasar malam had the greatest impression on me, especially the goodbye part.

dan... u and I have so much in common! we should talk shop! ;D I mean really! hehe yeah certainly ;D anytime man.... i guess musically we do move on from time to time at certain stages of our lives... back then when i was still much younger... was always listening to mainstream brit stuff like oasis, suede, blur, the verve.... it was good to be free and live life by the day back then ...... and then i started listening to smashing pumpkins, and life became abit emo when one start to realise things. i guess the appeal is there.... some music that people can related too. then i was hooked onto shoegazer and started becoming obsessed with large sounds and the wall of sound concept... it was like a form of escape for me... just drowning myself with all these huge sounds all the time. when shoegazer kinda died down.... i guess i've moved on to what i like now, post rock now i'm an audiophile for ambient/harsh/abbrassive sounds.

10 years ago... and sometime inbetween.
1) I loved music like theres nothing else to love in the world. 2) Wanted to play in a band and wanted the band to make it so bad. 3) Learn pedal building and peddling em pedals. 4) Fell in love, fell out of love and didn't get married. If it had happened I'd have a kid or two by now. Thank the heavens it didn't happened. 5) Cycling was a drug. Can't live without it. 6) Got a scooter and never regretted a second of it. 7) Realised that beer is actually man's best friend.
Now. 1) I'm not excited about music anymore. 2) I've got no bands. Sorta. 3) Pedal building is no longer a hobby. 4) Photography is the new drug. 5) I'm thinking more about the health my bank account and some future planning. 6) 2 wheel touring rocks. 7) I can't cycle anymore.
10 years in the future. 1) Earning SGD spending RM. 2) Build more pedals and must get better each time. 3) Still shooting photos and enjoying every second of it. 4) Hopefully I'll have some money in the bank. 5) Hope I can "settle" down. Hope. 6) I'll still be riding me 2 wheels. Hope to see a 4 wheel at my front porch. 7) Pick up cycling again.
