legendary balls, "cat in a bag". in fact i saw mr "cat in a bag" a few weeks ago. i wanted to say hi but the guy walked away. so long ago already...still so paiseh.  |

I heard he just plays in church now. I hope God forgives him for what he did lah. But then the songs he chose was't tt obscure... all available on the bootlegs I have!!!

haha... EGOOOOOOOO.... As much as I like Storm in Heaven... Urban Hymns gets the most spin time on my player... I don't know why I keep reaching for this CD. The Verve.... They is my musical saviour.... oh oh.... as much as we hate the cat in the bag... Seberynic did write some nice songs lah... but MrMagnum since his black metal days were dissing good old cat in the bag. At one time he couldn't stop dissing his face... the cat's face i mean. bhwahahahhaa.... post substation gig S11 bitching. Yeah lah... he WAS da bomb lah... not anymore... his last solo album... you mean there were other ripoffs? The Nirvana phase of Seberynic: he ripped off 2 Nirvana obscure tunes and recorded them as the band's tape demos. He intro-ed 'Come On' (familiar eh?) as a new tune coming up on the upcoming Seberynic album...  |

i like the verve, but you can tell during urban hymns that the songs are no more jam songs. it's got a lot of ashcroft's writing which are ok, but the songs with the whole band writing together are the best. too many singer songwriter stuff= death of verve. that's why i think nick mccabe left.

I cna't remember how the Sebastian guy looks like... but all I can rem is for one song they have whihc had this getai melody (pretty cool...)
the Seb fucker... put his guitar down and let it feedback and oscillate thru the delays etc. while he s.l.o.w.l.y. put on his denim jacket... with his back towards the audience. Not sure if da boss MrMisse was there... Hmmm...
Yes, denim jacket wearing indie kids were ard since 1996... hehehe ;D
