In light of our frens in SOFT, I was reading this post about the entire Muslim influences on music (http://soft.com.sg/2006/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=13559). And I was having dinner with emphibian last night. It struck me suddenly.
Have you guys ever noticed that there seems to be hardly or ever any duck dishes in Malay Muslim food stalls?

ah. from me understanding they cannot be eating creatures that lives in 2 elements (air, land, water). I know Muslims can't eat frog legs lah. Emphibians, perhaps eh? |

i've talked to some muslim friends about this.
the consensus is that they can eat ducks if they're slaugthtered the HALAL way and all. There's nothing to stop them from eating ducks but somehow... its just not their normal source of protein.
