ok this is a technical question.
I'm currently using the DOD bass grunge. it has stereo outs.
What i do is run the wet thru the other effects and then connect both wet and dry into a LEEM mini 4 channel mixer and then a single out into amp.
but what I get sometimes is a big volume drop or the drive sounds thin and fizzy.
could it be cos the mixer is peaking? any possible solutions?
or maybe I should just get another kind of drive pedal :/

phase cancellation.
try running the wet and dry together without any other pedals. check the sound.
then add the pedals one by one and eliminate the motherfucker.

wow intense. phase cancellation. ok will try it out.
currently the signal chain is:
- wet -> phaser -> mixer -> RV3 -> Amp
- dry -> chorus -> -^

will there be anyway for a mod to overcome the phase cancellation? normally IF I CAN REMEMBER CORRECTLY, most mixer would/should have a phase switch. if not its just a simple active buffer to reverse the phase. as always the circuit is simple, its the amount of work to make it happen. |
