Good luck with the dual overdrive. It's a truly awesome pedal. I bought mine many years back (5 - 6 yrs?) at swee lee. The stock pedal crunch channel sucks, and the lead channel is quite heavy, but it's easily moddable, and after I got mine modded, it kills every other OD/distort I've ever used. The crunch channel is like a beautiful tube overdrive and the lead channel now gives me killer hard rock lead tones. Of course it is not too good for metal etc.

Where did you get your SD-2 modded? I got mine done by Randolf just a couple of days back, and after the mod, it is truly awesome. Been playing with it for the past few days and it is really good. I got Randolf to pull down the gain on the lead channel a little, so that there is a little more useable drive range.

Mine modded when I was in Hong Kong, not here in Sg. WWMI, any luck with your search for SD-2?

well, i love my SD-2 in its pure form. in my opinion the crunch doesnt suck at all. depends on how you use it i guess. i use the crunch solely as a clean, slightly overdriven, boost so when i pick my strings subtly, it gives a hard-on clean sound but when i strum hard (approaching chorus), it appropriately crunches up all the way until i step it on to full lead.. so there is quite a smooth transition which i "rikes".
