this is from HCFX.. rather interesting but it sort of put me down alittle.. heheh.. but i m satisfied w mine.. can't possibly afford a ringstinger anyway..
"There are vast differences between the two. The RingStinger is based on the original transformer matrix and uses two small transformers and matching diodes. The Moog MF-102 uses a modulator chip. The MF-102 Oscillator uses 1 sine waveform, the RingStinger has 4: sine, triangle, sawtooth and square. The MF-102 has 2 LFO waveforms, the RingStinger also has 2 and 2 for Pulse Width modulation. The RingStinger has a Drive that goes from OD to germanium fuzz, a Tone control and is switchable as an Octave Fuzz with LFO modulation. The MF-102 has a Drive control to beef up any signal. The RingStinger has a switchable LFO and foot control for LFO Depth and VCO frequency. The Moog MF-102 has foot control over LFO amount, Rate, Mix and Frequency. They both have Carrier IN's and VCO out's. The RingStinger is beyond belief in it possibilities and cost more for it. The Moog is a great ring modulator with less features."

just the word 'more", can make us go crazy over it. But none the less, the 102 has enough functions in there to keep us occupied for some time.
but of course lah, if only i can, the more the better ;D
