i like this jap band a lot. Nice melody in their songs and vocal is quite smooth also, imho. Although i dont understand any of the lyrics at all, but the melody really got me into them.
As for the image or whatever those glam as fuck thing in j rock, haha, i aint interest at all and i definitely wont get a hard on or feel impressed cos they dress up like some mad fellas or can play some 1001 instruments at 1000bpm etc...... hahahahahahah
Oh, and please, who ever mention x japan, please go bang the head on the wall 3x and find another forum to talk about them ;D.......

i was a fan of l'arc~en~ciel. the last album was crap though. ginette from astreal says that my guitar playing sounds like the the guy from the band (i'm not boasting here) but the guy is fucking good, although i have to say that my guitar playing is shite. his style is the kind i like, a lot of delay use and very little palm muting. his use of flanger is interesting.

i find the last album is so so only, their faster songs didnt really capture me as in the slower one in other albums
Hehe, getting the comparison is a good thing. From what i heard of ken, the guitarist, his tone is rather consistant, live and studio recording. Talking bout the flanger, i heard quite a bit of phase in their stufF, cud be i confused with flanger. One thing i cant stand bout the guitarist, his red fernandes strat, a total red, even the fretboard. Too glam for my liking
Oh, they are coming out with a live dvd in december from their gig in US back in july this year.
