The shooting took place shortly after 10 p.m. at Alrosa Villa, located at 5055 Sinclair Road. Two members of the heavy metal band Damageplan were reportedly shot and killed, NBC 4's David Wayne reported. The alleged gunman also died at the scene, Wayne reported. Shortly after the band began playing its first song, a man reportedly ran onto the stage and began shooting, according to a witness who identified himself as Sean. Some members of the audience reportedly thought the man running onto the stage with a gun was part of the band's act, NBC 4's Erin Tate reported. The club is a popular north Columbus nightspot for young adults, featuring rock and heavy metal bands, NBC 4 reported. According to the band's Web site, Damageplan was touring nationally. It performed in Buffalo, N.Y., on Tuesday night and had a concert scheduled in Flint, Mich., on Thursday. Damageplan featured Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul, formerly of the group Pantera. The pair were joined by vocalist Patrick Lachman and bassist Bobzilla, according to their Web site. Police did not release the identities of the shooting victims.

saw this in another forum...
Killer jumps the fence onto the patio and proceeds near the back door where they bring the gear in..The door is open and killer walks in..He is stopped by Damageplan security and killer asks security guy "where's Dimebag" thinking he was in the bus by the back door..Guard says "he's inside getting ready,can I see your ticket"..killer ignores him and starts walking away..Guard follows,,"This guy has no ticket"..BAM..killer shoots him...killer walks on stage and see's Dimebag, puts him in a headlock and shoots him in the head 3 times..killer drops Dimebag and goes for the drums to kill Vinnie but Vinnie isn't there..It's the drum tech..killer asks "where is Vinnie"..No answer..The singer of the band goes after killer..killer shoots the singer and the Bass player..At first people thinks it's part of the show so they don't know what's going on..Within a couple of minutes a Columbus cop entered through the back door with a shotgun when he got close to the killer the killer didnt know he was there..killer turns around and aimed his gun at the cop...The Columbus cop BLEW HALF OF HIS F-ING HEAD OFF..Thats all I know..Vinnie didn't get shot..
