yeah.... the evil intention was obviously to sell more pedals huh but look what happened? we've become a gay (in other words happy) bunch of aging teens with beer belly enjoing hawker centre western food with cheapest erdinger in town. that is life. Tom's Kitchen anyone?  ? |

ok, for a moment, i will be serious for this ;D
In my humblest opinions, what you have done for the site is really really a lot. But the factor which affect how others see the whole site, is beyond the control of moderator, which i thought, happen to be the forum where the quality of the threads in there sometime are rather funny(well of course anyone can say that the thread here are even worst, but the thing is that we are never serious about things in here ;D)
As for what suggestions/comments/feedback, i can only say that keep doing what you are doing and no matter what others say, fuckup, bad or even bitch, its really normal and after laughing bout it, we will get over it ;D
and to do it in the soft style
1) What are the area that you like us to comment
2) What would be the outcome of this discussion
3) Do you really believe that comments, suggestion works?
4) What is your actual thoughts and view about your own site
5) What are the area that you think you would like to see improvement over
6) What happen to the music compilations which was supposed to come out
7) What do you think of the quality of discussion in the soft forums
8) Will you be tired of seeing threads on the forum that constantly deal with rock, solo, best of, fast, gear, geetar playing as the main thing etc
9) From the beginning of soft till now, wud you prefer the site to be like last time where i remember member like ovid or right now the situation?
10) cant think of any at the moment ;D

the reason why i posted this is because of some of the comments i read in this forum. thinking there must be something really wrong with SOFT that warrant so much bad press.
Ovid used to run a Singapore Music Forum in Delphiforum. Yes, he is a great guy.
minus1myfutureflava, your questions are much appreciated. It seems like every year, SOFT would be hack and we would come back stronger than before. Currently, I feel that SOFT is kind of stagnet in what it can provide without going commerical. But this is because there is only me doing the thinking and working. I feel that since there are so many like-minded people who are promoting music making in Singapore, we can actually gather some resource and move forward positively in tandem.
6) What happen to the music compilations which was supposed to come out
If you are referring to the call for participation about 2 years ago, I have canned that project because I did not feel that the compilation would be able to promote music awareness among the intended market - mass market. I am not saying that the music were no good but simply not right for the mass market.
While SOFT wants to promote better music making among the musician, my secondary goal is to bridge between musicians and the market. If we do not have a product that is marketable, we wait.
I do not have any fundings or company backing me. Every project that I executed is straight from my pocket and from people who volunteered to help out. I have to be very careful as not to burn too much of my piggy bank.
