Someone fucking bring some goddamn fucking plastic cups or you fuckers are gonna fucking drink from the fucking nozzle!

Depends on how heavy the rain is...

i dont hate anyone.
oki, the easier one first. the image is unsuitable for public viewing but i know in this internet age, everything is online. i simply disabled the auto-show for the image and left the link there. if a user want to see the image, they just have to click on it. i think this is fair.
for iBrew. i would rather iBrew advertise the event on SOFT. i had refused/deleted quite a few marketing messages from companies/brands because SOFT have advertisement packages and i have to be fair to those paid advertisers.

and the question is, will you be there for the event?

Hello soft, glad to see you posting here again! The thing is, edder is not from iBrew. He is merely one of the contestants and just letting people know about the event he is taking part in and inviting people to come taste his homebrew. So how is that advertising? granted, the way he posted is abit wrong. He should have simply posted the event details instead of copying and pasting the entire e-mail. But hey, he's a dodgy malaysian ma Since you love analogies here's one for you: fgl loves to post about where he's playing. Does it mean he is also advertising for the venues he is playing at?

aiyah... soft you could have replied my pm on soft leh...
ok my bad on the cut and paste event.
my next question is, does a paying advertiser have the rights to plug his products on each and every thread at any chances possible? you should know who I am refering to.
This I feel totally degrades what a forum should stand for unless if it is meant to an advertiser's plug till death forum.

yes, i agree that paid advertisers should not spam the forum. i will try my best to enforce this.
it is a fine line between what is advertising and what's not. new media has erased that line altogether. marketers are employed to infiltrate online communities such as forum, MYSPACE, YouTube, blogs ... etc.
as guideline, anything that is music related, i am ok. non music related posting must benefit the music community or be of positive character building.
Wookie, i know you are not from iBrew but i had to lock the thread because i have Ad agencies asking me if they can post something similar to 'inform' SOFTies of their upcoming event.
i know it is annoying that all these had to happen but i hope for your understanding and patience.
*nowadays, i am trying to finish some of my whisky at home first. dont know how to store them properly and now all the cork are dried up and break easily. haiz....

then if I had posted it something like a mini gathering for like minded softies for the ibrew challenge without all the marketing details would that be fine? something like what bro snuff did for the tiger brewery visit? what I'm trying to promote is the hobby of homebrewing which IMHO is a positive way of learning the brew, respecting the brew and at the same time get drunk at home without being a mess outside. I think the trick to storing liquor or wine is to periodically wet the cork to make it moist and swollen.... yes, i agree that paid advertisers should not spam the forum. i will try my best to enforce this. it is a fine line between what is advertising and what's not. new media has erased that line altogether. marketers are employed to infiltrate online communities such as forum, MYSPACE, YouTube, blogs ... etc. as guideline, anything that is music related, i am ok. non music related posting must benefit the music community or be of positive character building. maybe you like to organise a gathering (not iBrew) and you can demostrate/let us sample your brew?
