it is a fine line between what is advertising and what's not. new media has erased that line altogether. marketers are employed to infiltrate online communities such as forum, MYSPACE, YouTube, blogs ... etc. true. But come on la, not as though u dunno who edder is right? You even had a drink with him dey! as guideline, anything that is music related, i am ok. non music related posting must benefit the music community or be of positive character building. If a Tiger Beer Brewery visit is positive character building (it must be since by your guidelines, the thread for that wasn't locked) , why not this about home brewing? Wookie, i know you are not from iBrew but i had to lock the thread because i have Ad agencies asking me if they can post something similar to 'inform' SOFTies of their upcoming event. Why did you have to lock the thread? Why don't you just edit out the marketing information or ask edder to edit his post? Machiam PAP in the 70-80s dey! One hand you talk about new media, on the other you do old school censorship. I'm (and i'm pretty sure the rest of us) not annoyed la mr soft, just that the logic behind some of your actions are very mind boggling. |
