Hur Hur Anyone can advise on the order of effects on a signal chain. I think my set-up can be improved. but too lazy to try out the order. Come. discuss how the placements of pedals can affect your tone....

hmmm, guess everyone have their own way of arrangement, but usually the normal way is to have the distortion, drive, comp, wah in straight to amp input and the modulation effect in the loop. Although its usually like that, some of the modulation effect, i find it more suitable to be in the chain straight to amp input than in the loop. It still have to depend on the individual player to do some trial and error with their effect and come out with the best sounding combination. Who knows, the unauthordox placement one might have, can give the player his/her signature sound

Yeah. I know. Thanks for the advice. I've been too lazy to experiment. Besides, i just fixed up new patch cables on my board. If i change the order now, i'll have to redo some of them...

as much as i would like to use the effects loop of amps.. the sad part is that not every amp has one.. like when u go jamming or play live.. n the effect of using a different fx loop might vary as well.. my opinion would be.. comp - wah - dirty stuff (OD, Distortion, fuzz), modulation, delay.. but there's no rule so yeh... play around.. u might be unique..

Yeah. More or less the way my stuff are laid out. I like to put my chorus before the distortion though. Gives my distorted tone a slight shimmery texture.

another way which i find useful, using a boss noise supressor. The distortion/drive, fuzz etc in the normal chain while all the modulation effect in the loop of the NS-2. If theres a dual looper, even better.
