Holy Grail problem?

Hey all, i just got a holy grail 2nd hand.

its working fine. but whenever i power up the pedals, via the main power switch, when i max out the knob on the grail, no vol. then when i turn to 12 o clock then got sound again. then when i unplug the main plug from the effect, and plug it again, then got sound.

erm, is there something wrong? need to get fixed?
