just got it. sounds pretty nice, abit more variable than the ts9 i had.

ok, someone on hcfx says that by using a 18v on this baby, will make her shine. she's currently a 9v. workable? truth?

also this seems rather old, and looks like its 843. thats the production i assume.

so tell me, are the old ones better or the new ones?

i think the old n new ones are very much the same and only differ in features like a toggle switch n knob height control of the compression.. i might have missed out something but that's what i know..

yes, the FD2 does work with 18v.. havent tried it but people have told me they tried it before n it's better, it could be just a placebo, i donno..

...What will it sound like?

Quite different actually....the FD2 gets much more dynamic, a little brighter and a lot less compressed, more articulate, more amp-like, with more of the strings coming through....very nice!. The "Comp-Cut" mode gets a serious increase in headroom without distorting. Using 18volts DC, The FatBoost gets tons more Clean headroom, doesn't distort at all, and can get upwards of 30db of crystal clear gain. The Bassdrive just MUCH better for Bass guitar with the extra headroom and clarity.
