i got it off guitar connection for 550, i played my eastwood heaps of time b4 i decided to get it and its nice la.... good action, no buzz, the pickups sounds sweet but the output is just very weak.......... in the jamming studio have to up the volume almost by twice to get it about the same level as i would with my les paul

and one more thing, the finish is very nice, but i dun understand why they must cover 3/4 of the top with the huge pickguard

most likely my les paul la, the reason why i'm so hesistant to use my eastwood is becos of the difference in volume in case i wanna switch between the 2 guitars.... the levels would be screwed... unless i have time to sound check both guitars...and the reason why i wont make use of my eastwood for the full sets... is becos the lipsticks doesnt take the ebow well
other than that, this guitar makes a very good rhythm/lead guitar, the playability of the thing is good

ok dan.... sorry for the ultra late reply...
lipstick pickups are not that powerful to begin with lah. so you may wanna try to adjust the pickups slightly or get a simple booster to be built into your guitar to up the signal level.
one thing is... you may have noticed by now lipsticks feedback like a bad mofo.... so high output may not be a very good idea too.
try adjusting the pickup height as well.
