i like the chick at rankin...such a sweet face. i say Fender Deluxe...such a sweet a sounding amp and dark sounding too. the spring reverb is heavenly...gives my delay usage some "air" to let it ring and fly. sweet spot (to me) is volume at 4. the mojo is right and just nice cos it doesn't rattle the overdrive sound. also...when you are the only guitar player in the band...turn the overdrive switch on but leave it at zero...sounds almost like a bassman..."soggy" sounding if you like. Randolf (Embryo) taught me that...but apparently not as good when you do that trick to a Roland JC.

I'll get a Behringer Rackmount V-amp, a Behringer or any other affordable Power AMP and a 2 x 12 speaker cabinet.

For US$500 shipping included, you can also consider shopping for an amp on ebay... but be prepared to spend some money to rebias and recap, if necesary... Very very worth it!
a fender bassman head also worth considering ... its nice! or you can probably look around for someone to build you an one circuit ... take a normal tube amp and give it a serious makeover and do it up to yr specs - or classic specs like a blackface, or silverface or whatever .... heard there is another chap who takes your amp head, and then does some magic for $1500 - you get a fender, marshall and mesa in 1 amp...
the reverend amps quite nice!!! you can also consider a Dr. Z ... but must pay a little more maybe?
mmmmmmmmmm
