Found this site which streams local hip hop. Some are actually not bad but some are really horrendous... and are downright funny...due to bad diction and the... ahem... Malay accent. I find it weird. Malays sing damn well and can pretty much emulate a foreign accent in their vocal delivery. But not when they rap...hmmm...maybe it's too much like speaking? www.soundclick.com/bands/3/wardawgcartelmusic.htmThis reminds of the side project which I propose to the guys in Lunarin man... Hmmm...

malay songs must be jiwang jiwang(emo) type, then nice. Rapping might be a bit out for them, but at least its better than most chinese rapping, imho. Oh well, unless everyone is like that chinese rapper from US, mc Jin

MC Jin sounds like a new beverage from MacDonalds...
Try NEW Mac Gin, new beverage with alcoholic flavouring, good for the alcoholic in you.

i dunno abt the McJin...
but I din hear his rapping...
but you are right... all those Taiwanese guys can't cut it... Even Machi can only scrape the top of the iceberg.
Some of those Malay doodes are pretty decent. However, some are really bad. The entire accent is off for what they are trying to project.
