Emails from your fave guitarist?

Anyone tried to email to or ask your fave guitarist about guitar tone and gear?

i've spoken to mike kinsella (capnjazz, owls, joan of arc, owen) very nice dude, using a strat, and an guild acoustic...

also jeff snoop, of Ester Drang, also pretty cool to answer questions... big user of dl-4 too

Aaron Pillar and Chris Crisci of ASC also pretty open about their gear.

nice to see guitar players not being snobbish about their sound...

heh, after seeing this post. I just wonder why i never had this idea before.

Haha, if i had known earlier, i wouldn't had used a metal zone thru a practice amp in the beginning trying to get the kirk hammet's tone ;D
