Jay-Z's raps off the 'Black Album' with samples taken purely from the Beatles' 'White Album'. Some tunes are quite killer. I know this is quite old news. www.illegal-art.org/audio/grey.htmlTry 'Encore' which has Lennon singing behind Jay-Z. Better than Jay-Z's own version. And 'What More Can I Say' set to Harrison's 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'. Never did like the original version with the Russell Crowe vocal sample. 'Change Clothes' is as good or if not, better than the Neptunes-produced track. I still prefer Timbaland's productions of 'Dirt Off My Shoulders'. Danger Mouse is a fucken genius.

Sampling is very rock'n'roll lah...
Keith Richards admits that he nicked Muddy Waters(?)' "I Can't Be Satisfied" for "Satisfaction"
And ask where did Yngwie get all his neo-classical licks from?
Taking the old and making something new outta it is very rock'n'roll... hip hop is the new rock. But tt's like 15 years ago lah. Nowadays, it's a bit stale.... Hmmm...
