Just talked to MrMisse over the phone. Since I'm so free nowadays, I'm gonna start a simple marketing campaign for Aging Youth Productions. Gonna start taking some photos soon.
A good way for me to learn Photoshop too! ;D

aging is the new youth sounds cheesy, imho, like kings of convenience, quiet isthe new loud, i know another local webzine is using quiet is the new loud as their motto.
ripp off.
try something like, Putting the Age back into Youths or something like that.

Quiet: The New Loud is the theme of Music For Good's acoustic gig. But you have a good point there. It could be overused... but when it comes out with the entire advt. we'd see how it goes? So far, I know of AYP as the only web-zine from Singapore with such a strong focus in Singaporean music. I didn't know we have any peers in this aspect. I know of a few fan-zines. That's abt it. Pure-rock.net run their artciles and interviews sporadically. Beta Music has better writing for sure but their focus is definitely very global... macham BigO. but it's still damn goot... www.betamusic.com.sg

i really like the 4th one!!!! Aging is the new Youth...has a ring to it, like "Pink is the new Black", "twelve is the new eleven" kindda like that...you know what, Lounge Lizard, i say fuck it all and go with your heart, the best slogans are from the heart, man...crafted ones are a dime a dozen...better than "i wanna be forever young", right?

maybe we could try to focus on the local music... maybe... "Central Standard Gems" i dunno, don't really wanan use the word local or singapore... makes it very heartland... not that trying to be foreign here, but singaporeans will just think its just another webzine. lets try to be slightly more professional. at least try lar

Originally, I only tot of one tagline which is "You are never too old to rock'n'roll." Which runs concurrent with the whole "Aging Youth" thing.
I'm gonna take a pic of my ah-ma holding a guitar and pretending to rock. But quite hard lah. She's over 80 liao. Anyways, gonna photoshop that nicely (I hope) and add that tagline: a) "Aging Youth Productions: You are never too old" or b) "Aging Youth Productions: You are never too old to rock'n'roll"
Something like tt.
As for the "Aging Is The New Youth", it was something I came up with while coming up with the poll.
I'd take all the considerations in mind and hope that I can come up with something good...

i think u are giving urself too much room to work with n not focus in your direction.. u have to think of:
- what is ur selling point or rationale - what can ayp give to people - what is the target audience - what is so special about aging youth n not others around - why do people want to come into aging youth gigs n webzine - basically, why is ayp different?..
although i vote for the 4th one.. i dun see how it can be too related, maybe it still can but u have to decide the concept n the reason behind it before coming up with the slogan or the look.. it's basically how u are going to sell a product loh.. but also identify what is the problem n then coming up with a solution..
