Hi all:
I'm thinking of getting some ideas down to pass to some frens. Think along the line of simple melody, rhythm, vocal & bass.
I'm lost as to where to begin - there are just too many options. I'd appreciate anyone who could nudge me in the right direction - is there a simple to use multitrack recording device that is stand alone? Or must you always hook it up to a PC. If with PC - wat else do i need?
Anyone with advice or selling gear - pls HELP!!!

there are certainly a few options.. if you are looking to spend little cash, you can try getting softwares from friends like cooledit or cakewalk n record your ideas down.. if you are looking for a simple multitrack.. a few brands you can look at are zoom, behringer, tascam etc.. try here.. www.harmony-central.com/Recording/manufact.html

thanks man -anyone here selling something simple that i can set up without a PC wld be great. If you see anything i'd appreciate a holler!
ideally i would like to record a trackand then be able to record an additional track over it - while still being able to hear the first track...
does that make any sense???
Anyhow - thanks for the heads up!
