Can try this one out www.generalguitargadgets.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=138&Itemid=153hey jin, hope you dont mind me asking. Whats the crunch you are looking for the j.greenwood sound? The 440 is a "auto wah" thingy, it should not have any crunch character.

the dod 440 was among the first batch of effect pedals from DOD when they started back in mid 70s. It had long been discontinued since early 80s when dod came out with their 2nd series of effect pedals.
So i guess, there is no street price. Only way is probably through those online auction site or locally, if anyone have it and willing to sell. The price might not be too cheap i guess.
From what can be found in jap yahoo auction, there are quite a number of those 1st series dod effect listed, but there is no 440 at the moment. All the prices ranging at least 20000yen to 35000yen. But imho, i think it might not be a fair reflection of the 2nd hand prices. Most US made effect are madly priced over there ;D

i believed he used it with other effects as well.. maybe the env filter only help in the intensity of the filtering to create some kinda tone jump.. i think most of his crunch comes from his shredmaster..

From Indyguitarist "Description: The Jeckll & Hyde is a pedal with a tubescreamer ts808 side, as well as an original Marshall Guv'nor (original black box version) all in one. Visual Sound has recently upgraded their line of pedals, but for folks wanting the newest version of the Jeckll & Hyde, we offer this excellent upgrade--which is similar to Visual Sound's newest version-with a few changes to the overdrive side-the ts808 side, as well as the distortion. " He claims its a Guv'nor leh

shredmaster has got a "parametric" like sweep on the mids control, whereas the guvnur if I remember correctly is Bass/Mid/Treble like an amp tone control.
which is which on the Jeckyll and hyde...
i dunno... never bother to open any up.
