As mentioned in my post, the early American Vintage guitars are made from American parts and components but assembled in Mexico so the body could jolly well be one piece.
Check it out at Guitar77. I try not to go down to Peninsula unless absolute necessary.

Saw the Tele at G77 today and confirmed it's a multiple piece body. I could see at least 4 glue joints.

there you go.. i believe the 1 piece or 2 piece bodies guitar from Fenders cost heck of a lot

from what i know, at least 3 piece body and if lucky, 2 piece. For some extreme cases ever mentioned about in fender forum, there was one with 7 piece.
Kinda hard to find one piece body for the major brand. Not too cost effective for the production and such
I cud be wrong thou ;D. I is also read read, see my guitars and learn from there
