i'll tell you which one to get if you sell me your Talman for nuts!!! ;D NEVER!!!!!!!!! haha... its so funny though... I own guitars with P90s, Lipsticks, Filtertrons, humbuckers etc etc But none with the SSS or HSS configuration of a STRUT. ok... don't count in the Banez RG or the yamaha YG cos they're Floyd Rose and they SUCKSAAAASSSSS!!! its all about the tone. |

Hmm... if u want a strat tone.... get a strat. skip the Godin and stuff... too much variables (pickups, bridge, wood, design) to ensure a strat tone. i'm not sure if squier will come across as good enough for u. imo, try to avoid basswood for vintage strat tone. u might like basswood though. |

I got this one used instead. Haven check out the sound yet. At the most get a set of bill lawrence and zhng it up. that is if my emails get replied.  |

Hey my 2 cents, i've played some mexicans, japanese and US strats, and US strats still sound the best. mexicans are hit and miss, japanese have very good workmanship, but the japanese strats seem to lack a bit of beef, and they tend to be lighter, i dont know if its because of the woods they use, but if you want to go fender id suggest you get a no frills MIA strat. A used one is only slightly more than a new japanese one. and strats look good beat up anyway ;D |

haha... too late. The squire is already a firm deal. Just waiting to bring it back home. As you might know... I'm not an serious player, just like to buy and keep signal generators for my pedals.  |
