WHAT DAY IS IT TODAY? He could have been an atmospheric physicist or an environmentalist. But he figured it's all going to end anyway. He is now an inventor of an entertainment system. A system he refers to as "The entertainment system for the conveniently adequate joe". WHAT DAY IS IT TODAY? follows the life of a homeless inventor who holds lectures in his makeshift backyard, who is constantly perfecting his invention, who is paranoid of the solar system and who is waiting for the apocalypse. WHAT DAY IS IT TODAY? is a spoken word experiment which explores the use of language and meaning by deconstructing a premise to further expand an experience within a story told through use of various mediums such as music, sculptures and visuals. The performance will take place on the 30th of August (Saturday) at the Esplanade Theater Studio. It is part of a SPARKS presentation, a development programme by the Esplanade. Should anyone be interested : email to : banitheemphibian@yahoo.com subject : ATTENDING SPARKS and include your name / names should you include more than one person coming down for the show. better days ahead.
