Hiyall
I am interested in getting the proco rat II after realising that that's the sound I'm always hearing in me head (a la blur - graham coxon). Am wondering whether the rat could tread into the fuzz / distortion regions as well...thanks for taking the time!

Hey i just got a Rat2 from Misse. Lol its good. Can go to fuzzy fuzzy sorta tone, also the opp ah. Its has so called 'a wide variety of distortions'. Depending on your type of setting. Very versatile. Really a good buy. Heh. Go try out ah. Won't regret. lol.

Thanks for the feedback! I don't think I will regret, at least i hope i won't...i remember trying the reverend drivetrain II...that was a mite disappointing after readgin the rave reviews...but then to be fair....the amp wasn't fantastic either.
i have tried the superfuzz and the dod classic fuzz. both are cool but I do not want to have too many pedals at me feet so I aiming for one, max two OD/Fuzz/Distortion and maybe boost with an eq

get the drivetrain and keep it for future use. Who knows, with the discountiuned status, the price might just go crazy. Hehe, keeping my finger crossed for my drivetrain I.

I thought they were selling the drivetrain I at wmum, but it was the Drivetrain II. I wasn't too impressed as it sounded weak...BUT...the amp wasn't fantastic either...sooo... Oh well, bottomline was, I wasn;t going to part with 200plus bucks for something that didn't turn me on... Well, I'm all set for the RAT II!! Hope it is still scavenging around... heh heh heh ;D

imho, the rat and drivetrain are 2 entirely different pedals. For heavy side, the rat will definitely shine. The drivetrain is just a overdrive pedal whereas the rat can go into distortion. Total different type of pedal, cant really compare, i guess...
Beside the rat, the crowther hotcake is another good choice for slight drive to distortion and even bit of fuzz tone in there.
